Winter Scratch Series RD 6, Manly Marina - 6th October 2019

Race Report – 7 skippers attended the scratch sailing at Manly on Sunday 6th October 2019
for RD 6 of the Winter Scratch Points Series.

A few of the regulars where away, sailing other regattas on the day.

Sun was shining, light shifty winds starting the day out of the south east, slowly shifting further north by mid morning .The course was set, 2 lap, windward return course by Ray and racing got underway on time at 9.30am, with Ray showing us all how it should be done with a win to start the day and also a win to end the day .Well done Ray.

The course was shifted for the last few races after the wind shifted further north and changed to a 3 lap windward, return. This made for a few real close races, with the lead changing all the way to the finish.

Andrew and Dennis, who where hard to catch once they hit the lead had a couple of wins each and everyone else had their moments.

If you have a look at the results, it shows the racing was close all day.

It was a good day sail.
